As of today, we cracked 900 views of the music video on Youtube alone. (There are 2 other sites the video is uploaded to: Second Life Video and Machinima, at 334 and 85 additional views, respectively).
And there are three types of people who have watched the video: Machinima fans, Musical Theatre fans, and Mike-Heidi-Bret fans (or 'friends,' as most people call them.) The third group, of course, loves the piece. (Or at least that's what they say to our faces.) However, the other two groups have responses that are more rounded out.
Machinima fans, who tend to be used to videos with the plot "these people are dancing!", universally say: "Great shot selection and awesome animations, and additionally I note that it's telling some kind of story or something."
Musical theatre fans, who are used to plays featuring real life people, universally say: "Great song and awesome vocals, but why don't their mouths move?"
Each is one half of a rave review. I'll take it!
